Nikita Manot
Say hi

Hi there β€” I'm glad you stopped by

I'm Nikita,
and I'm a copywriter.

I write for a living β€” headlines that pull you in, articles that keep you there, and the kind of copy that quietly does its job. Right now I do that for a global audience at Bored Panda, from my desk in Munich.

About me

I've spent the better part of seven years turning research into writing people actually finish. Business school first, then journalism β€” which is a roundabout way of saying I like both the strategy behind a piece and the craft of the sentence.

My natural habitat is a fast newsroom-ish one: lots of tabs open, a deadline somewhere on the horizon, and a topic I didn't know much about an hour ago. I research it properly, find the angle, and write it so it reads easily and performs well in search. I'm just as comfortable on my own as I am inside an editorial or marketing team β€” and I'm the person who tends to hit the deadline.

Or, as I put it on my author page: transforming thoughts into captivating tales, one word at a time. Slightly grand, but I stand by it.

A thing that happened

β€œThe UN handed me a Gender Data Award for research-led content β€” which still feels a little unreal.”

Copywriter
Bored Panda
Mar 2024 β€” now

Where I am today. I write high-volume editorial on art, photography and whatever the internet is talking about this week, for a global readership. The fun part is finding the right headline for different platforms β€” the one that makes someone click, then stay to read. Behind that: real research, source-checking and the occasional contributor interview, all on a tight publishing schedule without the quality slipping. I write affiliate marketing articles for the site too.

Copywriting & Communications Intern
EWOR
Jun β€” Aug 2023

A summer inside a fast startup, writing SEO blog content on entrepreneurship and helping the communications side keep moving. Small team, lots of ownership, a good crash course in writing about business for people building one. I also helped stage EWOR Connect 2023 in Sweden, on the events team.

SEO Specialist
ToNEKi Media Β· freelance
Feb β€” Aug 2022

Freelance, and the project that made me genuinely fluent in SEO β€” writing to lift search visibility and organic traffic while keeping the copy something a human would want to read, not just a search engine.

Senior Content Writer
Mamco Enterprises
Mar β€” Dec 2021

My first time leading the content, not just producing it. I kept everything on-brand across the site and campaigns, and sat with marketing and leadership to turn what the business wanted to say into something people would actually read. This is where I learned that clarity is a strategy, not a nicety.

Web Content Writer
Storypick
Nov 2019 β€” Feb 2021

High-volume, high-energy. Short form, long form, website and social β€” all of it chasing what was trending and turning it into something shareable for readers around the world. If you want to get fast and good at the same time, write to a publishing calendar like this one.

Where it started
MunchyMumbai Β· Tata Interactive
2017 β€” 2019

Before all that: running social media and brand promotions at MunchyMumbai, and lending subject-matter expertise to English-language educational content at Tata Interactive Systems for international clients. The early years where I figured out I wanted to do this for real.

Things I'm quietly proud of

I don't love listing accolades, so I'll keep this short and only mention the ones I earned honestly.

UN
UN Women Gender Data Award, 2019 β€” for excellence in research-led content and communication. The one that still makes me pause.
NGO
Taught with Prayaas. English and maths for kids from underprivileged backgrounds β€” and helped raise money for their education. Some of the most grounding work I've done.
25+
Countries, so far. Some for work, most out of curiosity. Travel is where I picked up the knack for writing for people who aren't like me.
∞
Trophies for talking. A string of debate and elocution wins, including the Navbharat Times Youth Festival. Turns out I've always liked finding the right words out loud too.
